Hog Hunting
Most hog hunts start in the afternoon about 2 hours before dark and go into the night. Your guide will equip your gun with a green/red hog hunting light for night hunting. These wild hogs are a cross of a Feral Hog and a Russian Razorback and can be hunted 365 days a year. They are very dangerous and have razor-sharp tusk that can rip through anything. Pure Adrenaline Outfitters is North Carolina's top outfitter in hunting wild hogs.
The average wild hog weighs around 200lbs. Trophy boars weigh 300lbs and up. If you're looking a wild hog to harvest for meat — you would want to take a hog weighing less than 200lbs for tender meat. Calibers we recommend hunting wild hogs with are .223, .270, .300., .308, .30-06., 7mm. You may also hunt with archery equipment, but shot placement is key.
Hunters will be hunting over bait sites which consist of an electric corn feeder or bait pile. Our guides check each stand/bait site several days in advance before your arrival to ensure that hunters are hunting the best possible area to be successful. We have high success rates and plenty of repeat hunters. Our guides go out of their way to ensure every hunter with the best hunting experience possible.
